Pole Vault: Mexican Lanaro Establishes a Record and Puerto Rican Estrada Wins Silver

Mayagüez (July 27, 2010) – The Mexican Geovanni Lanaro established a record in pole vault after surpassing a height of 5.60 meters, thus breaking the past record of 5.50m achieved by the Mexican Robinson Pratt in Cartagena, 2006.

The Puerto Rican Brandon Estrada took silver with a jump of 5.40m.

Christian Sanchez, of Mexico, obtained the bronze medal with a record of 5.20.
